เมื่อวันที่ 17 พฤษภาคม 2567 นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 จากหลักสูตร LLBel เข้าทำกิจกรรม Law and Data Science Hackathon ที่สำนักงานใหญ่ Lazada Thailand โดยนิสิตได้เรียนรู้การประยุกต์ใช้ Network Analysis ในการวิจัยโจทย์ทางนิตินโยบาย และการทำ Text Analytics กับเอกสารและข้อมูลทางกฎหมาย โดยเรียนรู้ว่าเทคนิคและเครื่องมือทางวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูลเหล่านี้จะมีส่วนช่วยพัฒนาวงการกฎหมาย รวมทั้งแก้ปัญหาทางนโยบายในโลกแห่งความเป็นจริงได้อย่างไร
ในแต่ละกลุ่มจะมีพี่เลี้ยงจากทีม Data Science ของ Lazada คอยให้คำแนะนำและทำงานร่วมกับนักกฎหมาย ซึ่งนิสิตในฐานะนักกฎหมายจะต้องตั้งโจทย์ทางนิตินโยบายและปรับใช้เครื่องมือและเทคนิคต่างๆ เพื่อแก้ปัญหาอย่างเหมาะสม ซึ่งกิจกรรม Hackathon ในครั้งนี้เป็นการสรุปรวบยอดความรู้ที่นิสิตได้เรียนจากวิชา Data Science for Lawyers มาปรับใช้กับโจทย์ในสังคมจริง นิสิตยังมีโอกาสได้ทำงานอย่างใกล้ชิดกับนักวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูลผู้เชี่ยวชาญในวงการธุรกิจ ที่สำคัญ นิสิตได้มีโอกาสฝึกทักษะการทำงานเป็นกลุ่มและการทำงานร่วมกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญสาขาอื่น ภายใต้บรรยากาศที่สนุกสนาน พร้อมอาหารและเครื่องดื่มจากบ่ายถึงค่ำจนจบการนำเสนอที่น่าประทับใจของแต่ละกลุ่ม

On Friday 17 May, students from the LLBel program visited the Lazada headquarter for a Law and Data Science hackathon event. Students delved into the practical applications of Network Analysis in Legal Research and Text Analytics for Legal Documents, learning how these techniques will transform the legal sector and solve real-world legal policy problems.
Collaborating with assigned mentors from the data science team of Lazada, each group tackled real-life problems using the data analytics skills acquired throughout our Data Science for Lawyers course. This hands-on experience allowed students to receive valuable feedback from industry experts, highlighting the practical nature of the LLbel program. The day was not only educational but also enjoyable, as students ate and worked together, embodying the experiential learning approach of the LLBel program.
