Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University (Central Library)

The Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University (Central Library) offers services and facilities relating to all categories of information resources which meet the University’s standard of quality, including international academic journals, rare publications, digital resources, textbooks and magazines. There are also work studios for creating various types of academic mediums in order to serve the needs of the academic community and the general public for the purpose of studying, teaching and researching.

Chamchuri 9 Building

The Office of Physical Resources Management is a department under the direct supervision of the President of Chulalongkorn University. The Office is responsible for the management of the University’s buildings, landscape, energy, environment, basic infrastructure, and vehicles in order to ensure their efficient use and to facilitate academic activities and managerial tasks in accordance with the objectives and mission of the University. The Office’s remit of responsibility also includes the provision of support for the management of physical resources of various offices and centres which are under the direct supervision of the Office of the University. The Office also offers advice and consultation to other departments and offices of the University.

PLEARN Space

PLEARN Space, located on floor 1 of Prem Purachatra Building, was launched by Chulalongkorn University on 24th September 2018 in order to provide a learning and activity space for Chulalongkorn students. From the launch date to 10th October 2018, it was open 24 hours a day on its trial-run, to serve the students’ needs for studying and revision during the exam period. From 16th October 2018, it has continued to offer services during normal office hours.

Sports Centre

The Sports Centre of Chulalongkorn University is run as a not-for-profit enterprise under the supervision of Chulalongkorn University. Three sports facilities were built around the year 1967, which were the tennis court, the Chulalongkorn sports stadium and a 50-metre swimming pool. Chulalongkorn University assigned the duty of maintenance to the Building Department. Later, in the year 1979, Chulalongkorn University welcomed a new indoor stadium and another 25-metre swimming pool located in a 2-rai piece of land – the largest sports facilities at the time.

Chulalongkorn Health Centre

Chulalongkorn Health Centre is a primary care health centre under the supervision of the Office of the University. The Centre’s policy is to offer internal welfare services for the institution. The main recipients of the Centre’s services are Chulalongkorn students, staff and family members and retired staff.

Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park

Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park was built in order to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Chulalongkorn University, and in order to increase the green space in the University’s commercial area. The Park also aims to promote the welfare of the local communities and to connect them together through a beautifully landscaped space, suitable for relaxation and activities. The Park answers to Chulalongkorn University’s strategic plan on “Smart inclusive society / Digital / Food Security / Aging” by employing the “Smart inclusive society” plan as its developmental goal.

CU Shuttle Bus

Chulalongkorn University offers a shuttle bus service free of charge on a number of internal routes for students, faculty members and staff. The service runs from 7.00-19.00 Monday-Saturday (Saturday service only offers Routes 1 and 2).

CU iHOUSE

CU iHouse, or International House, offers accommodation for foreign students, monthly-rate rented accommodation for staff, and daily-rate rented accommodation for University activities. The building’s design links the concept of “Academic” with the concept of “City Life”, which permeates all aspects including security standards and are management in relation to the surrounding community. The building offers an open space for activities and living space and facilities such as a relaxation area, a swimming pool and a gymnasium.
